Roy has always had an interest in medicine, and began voluntary work in a clinic in India in the early ‘80’s. From there he began to study Homeopathy and later Acupuncture and Chinese medicine at BCTA College (This College is now the Australian College of Natural Medicine in Brisbane). He now holds a degree in Chinese medicine, graduating in 1989. He presented a paper at the World Congress for Advanced Homoeopathy in Calcutta in February 1998.
Rosalind is a general trained nurse, and presently an RN . She trained at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and later at North Shore Hospital. After raising a son and daughter she returned to nursing in Nambour. During holidays in India in the early ‘80s Ros and Roy helped out at a medical clinic for the poor and observed the use of Homeopathy as health care. The results they observed there impressed them both and they felt that they needed to learn more about this old healing method.
Several trips later and much study, training and observation with Dr. Street, an American homeopath working in India and his Indian colleagues compounded their knowledge. Later, post graduate courses were completed in Brisbane.
Further study of Advanced Homoeopathy in Calcutta with Prof. Parimal Banerji introduced them to a system of Homeopathy that both feel is the best to treat a broad range of ailments and is giving very good results.
Roy and Ros are Fellows and Associate members of the International Institute of Advanced Homoeopathy.
Meher Clinic has been operating since 1987 and became full time when Roy graduated from college in 1989. At this time Ros left her nursing to help Roy in the clinic.
Both Roy and Ros have a Diploma in Homeopathy and are Certified Practitioners with the “Qld. Register of Certified Homoeopathic Practitioners”.
